Kralendijk, September 3, 2024 – Regarding the power outages on both Monday, September 2, and Tuesday, September 3, WEB would like to provide a follow-up on the situation.
In anticipation of the high demand for the upcoming season, WEB opted to carry out urgent repair work on the main cable that was damaged during excavation work by a contractor.
WEB’s technicians worked tirelessly throughout the day to repair the damaged cable. Approximately six o’clock in the evening the cable was put back into service, and the power transmission network was restored to its original state. This significantly minimizes the risk of a power outage due to overload on certain parts of the network.
